Two insiders said that Boeing agreed on June 30th to acquire its component supplier, Vanguard Aviation Systems, for $37.25 per share, ending months of negotiations. This full stock transaction will cost over 4 billion US dollars. A person said that the acquisition has a valuation of approximately $4.7 billion for the company. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and will inevitably lead to a sharp spin off, with some of the supplier's assets belonging to French aircraft manufacturer Airbus. (Reuters)
