On December 29th local time, the National Transportation Safety Board of the United States announced that a team composed of experts from Boeing and American aviation agencies is heading to South Korea to assist in the investigation of the plane crash at Wu'an Airport.
The National Transportation Safety Board of the United States stated that the team is led by it and includes investigators from the agency, technical experts from the Federal Aviation Administration and Boeing.
Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 crashed on the 29th while landing at Woan Airport in Jeollanam do, South Korea. All 179 passengers and crew members on board were killed except for 2 flight attendants who were rescued. The aircraft involved in the accident was a Boeing 737-800, with an age of 15 years.
Boeing issued a statement after the accident stating that the company has contacted Jeju Airlines. (CCTV News)
