The collision and fire accident of a South Korean plane has resulted in 177 deaths
According to CCTV News, at around 9:07 am local time on December 29th, a plane that was landing deviated from the runway and crashed into the outer wall of the fence at Woan International Airport in Jeollanam do, South Korea. The plane then caught fire. After confirmation, the aircraft model involved in the accident was a Boeing 737-800 from the United States, which was manufactured in August 2009 and has an age of 15 years.
The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism introduced that the accident investigation committee has currently recovered two "black boxes" of the aircraft, namely two flight recorders, and plans to analyze the flight recorders before further releasing relevant information. On that day, a passenger plane veered off the runway and crashed into the airport fence while landing at the Woan Airport in Jeollanam do, South Korea. The aircraft involved in the accident was Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 departing from Bangkok, Thailand, carrying 175 passengers and 6 crew members.
As of press time, the South Korean Ministry of Land and Resources stated at a press conference that 177 people have been confirmed dead, 2 are missing, and 2 have been rescued in the accident.
On December 29th, Boeing announced on social media that the company is in contact with Jeju Airlines regarding the plane accident that occurred at South Korea's Woan Airport and expressing condolences to the families of the victims.
A Canadian passenger plane experienced a malfunction during landing, resulting in minor injuries to personnel
On the evening of the 28th local time, a passenger plane caught fire while landing at Halifax International Airport in Canada, and the airport was temporarily closed as a result. According to reports, the airport issued a statement stating that the incident occurred around 9:30 pm local time on the 28th, and the flight involved in the accident was operated by PAL Airlines, a regional airline in Canada.

According to CCTV News and multiple foreign media reports, on the evening of December 28th local time, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft operated by Royal Dutch Airlines experienced a hydraulic failure shortly after takeoff. It is reported that the flight number of the plane is KL1204, originally planned to fly from Oslo, Norway to Amsterdam, Netherlands. After the malfunction occurred, the plane diverted and landed at Oslo Sandfjord Airport. However, during the landing process, the plane deviated from the runway and slid into the nearby grass. It is reported that there were 182 people on board the plane. There are currently no reports of casualties.
Dutch media quoted Norwegian police as saying that there were 176 passengers and 6 crew members on board, all of whom were safely evacuated that evening.
A spokesperson for KLM stated that the cause of the accident is under further investigation.
