On January 29th, Vale released its production and sales reports for the fourth quarter and 2023, with a year-on-year increase of 11% in iron ore production of 89.4 million tons in the fourth quarter of 2023. The report shows that in the fourth quarter of 2023, all businesses of Vale achieved stable production and sales. Iron ore reached its highest monthly production since 2018 in December. The quarterly production of copper increased by 50% year-on-year, reaching the highest level since 2018. The quarterly average realized price of nickel is 7% higher than the reference price of the London Metal Exchange.
