On January 26th, Bob Bakish, CEO of Paramount Global, announced on Thursday that the media company would be laid off, citing the need to operate in a more streamlined manner and reduce expenses. Paramount did not immediately disclose how many employees the company will lay off. Bakish stated in a memo to employees that the company also plans to reduce international content spending. (CNBC)
