Starbucks announced in a statement on January 8th local time that its joint venture with India's Tata Consumer Products Limited, Tata Starbucks, aims to open 1000 stores in India by 2028.
To achieve the above goals, Tata Starbucks will double its workforce and plan to focus on entering second - and third tier cities in India. At present, Tata Starbucks has over 390 stores in 54 cities in India and has nearly 4300 employees.
