Alaska Airlines announced on December 3rd its acquisition of competitor Hawaiian Airlines, with a transaction value of approximately $1.9 billion. Alaska Airlines will pay $18 per share in cash, plus bear approximately $900 million in Hawaiian Airlines debt.
