On September 10th, according to announcements released by the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Alibaba's common stocks traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange have been included in the Shanghai Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen Hong Kong Stock Connect, effective from the 10th. This also means that after being included in the Hong Kong Stock Connect, eligible investors in mainland China will be able to directly trade Alibaba's common stock. According to data from Wande Stock, as of the close on September 10th, Alibaba's stock price rose by 4.21% to HKD 81.60 per share.
