According to informed sources, this American retailer is selling 144.5 million shares at a price of $24.85-25.85 per share. Insiders also revealed that Morgan Stanley is responsible for arranging this transaction. JD ADR closed at $28.19 on the US stock market on Tuesday, with a further 10% drop in after hours trading. Calculations show that Wal Mart's asking price is 11.8% lower than JD's closing price on Tuesday at most. In 2016, Wal Mart acquired 5% of the shares of JD and sold its No. 1 store to the latter. Later in the same year, Wal Mart increased its holdings in JD to 10.8%.
