The Saudi Ministry of Energy announced on Monday that seven oil and gas deposits have been discovered in the eastern province and Empty Quarter of the desert, consolidating Saudi Arabia's position as the world's largest oil exporter.
Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman stated that these newly discovered deposits include two unconventional oil fields, a light Arabian oil reservoir, two natural gas fields, and two natural gas reservoirs, all discovered by Saudi Aramco, the Saudi National Oil Group.
In the eastern province of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Aramco has successfully explored two unconventional oil fields and a reservoir. Among them, the unconventional oilfield Ladam produces extremely light Arab crude oil at a rate of 5100 barrels per day in the Ladam-2 well, accompanied by approximately 4.9 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day.
The Al Farouk unconventional oil field produces Arab ultra light oil at a rate of 4557 barrels per day from the Al Farouk-4 well, accompanied by approximately 3.79 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day. In addition, the "Unayzah B/C" reservoir was discovered in the Mazalij-62 well of the Mazalij oilfield, with a daily production of approximately 1780 barrels of light oil and approximately 700000 standard cubic feet of associated natural gas.
In the desert void, Saudi Aramco has also achieved significant results, discovering two natural gas fields and two reservoirs. Among them, the Al Jahaq-1 well in the "Al Jahaq" oilfield produces natural gas at a rate of 5.3 million standard cubic feet per day, while the "Al Arab-D" reservoir at the same wellhead produces approximately 1.1 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day.
The Al Katuf-1 well in the Al Katuf oilfield produces up to 7.6 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day, accompanied by approximately 40 barrels of condensate oil. The Asikra-6 well in the Asikra oilfield has discovered the Hanifa reservoir, which produces approximately 4.9 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day. At the same time, the Al Fadhili reservoir produces approximately 600000 standard cubic feet of natural gas per day, accompanied by approximately 100 barrels of condensate oil.
This discovery has injected new vitality into Saudi Arabia and even the global energy market. As a key supplier to the global oil market, Saudi Arabia's continuous discovery and development of oil and gas resources continue to drive the stability and growth of global energy supply.
