Amazon announced on May 7th that it plans to spend $9 billion to expand its cloud computing infrastructure in Singapore. This investment will be completed in the next four years and will double Amazon Web Services (AWS) investment in Singapore. Including this investment in Singapore, AWS has announced plans to invest approximately $35 billion outside of the United States so far this year.
