Ethiopian Airlines announced on March 5th a new agreement to purchase 8 Boeing 777-9 aircraft, with the possibility of purchasing up to 12 more.
According to the statement, this order has made Ethiopian Airlines the first Boeing 777X customer in Africa. The airline ordered 11 Boeing 787 Dreamplanes and 20 737 MAX planes last year.
