On February 29th, it was reported that JPMorgan Chase is in deep discussions with FS Investments and Octagon Credit Investors to expand its presence in the $1.7 trillion private credit market. Negotiations are still ongoing, and potential cooperation terms may still be subject to change. JPMorgan Chase is partnering with some investors to provide funding for its private equity credit transactions, thereby strengthening its competition with private equity giants Ares Management Corp. and Blackstone Group.
