On February 22nd, JD.com announced on its official WeChat account that it has launched a "free doorstep return and exchange" service. Any product labeled with the "free doorstep return and exchange" label, regardless of size, weight, or quantity, can be returned and exchanged for free. Users do not need to spend any shipping fees, saving money, worry, and time!
JD is also actively promoting this "free door-to-door return and exchange" service among third-party merchants, and it is expected to cover over 90% of third-party merchants within the next year.
Especially in response to the industry pain points of third-party merchants facing difficulties in returning and exchanging large items, JD.com has added a guarantee limit of up to 5000 yuan per time for two door-to-door pickup in a year, based on the previous "large item freight insurance" service with a maximum shipping fee of 800 yuan per time. When the shipping fee for large item returns and exchanges exceeds 800 yuan, this 5000 yuan limit can be used.
