Microsoft announced on February 8th that it will collaborate with Indian startup Sarvam AI to support voice based generative AI application development.
Microsoft stated in a statement that Sarvam AI is establishing a generative AI model for Indian language and context, and will now create a solution on Microsoft's cloud services. Last December, Sarvam AI raised $41 million in Series A financing, led by Lightspeed Ventures, with Kosra Ventures and Peak XV Partners participating.
On the 7th local time, Microsoft CEO Nadella, who was visiting India, announced an initiative to provide AI skills training opportunities for 2 million Indians by 2025.
