On December 21st local time, Microsoft announced the discontinuation of Windows's mixed reality (MR) feature. The company launched this feature in the 2017 Windows 10 update, and the Mixed Reality Portal application allows users to access the technology on their personal computers using compatible VR headsets. Microsoft stated, "Windows mixed reality has been deprecated and will be removed from future versions of Windows."
