On December 22nd, STMicroelectronics announced on its official WeChat account that it had signed a long-term supply agreement for silicon carbide (SiC) with Ideal Motors. According to the agreement, STMicroelectronics will provide silicon carbide MOSFETs to Ideal Automobile, supporting its strategic deployment into the high-voltage pure electric vehicle market. It is reported that Ideal Automobile's upcoming 800V high-voltage pure electric platform will adopt the third-generation 1200V SiC MOSFET technology of STMicroelectronics in the electric drive inverter.
