The patent relates to a system and method for determining a user's cardiac load. The method comprises: using one or more sensors to collect a series of cardiac measurement results at a first set of time points, and determining a set of measurement data points; Generate a set of additional data points associated with a second set of time points that are different from the first set of time points; Use measurement data points and additional data points to determine the cardiac load values for predefined time periods and output them.
