On November 14th, the United Auto Workers (UAW) announced that about 68% of workers at General Motors' factory in Springhill, Tennessee, voted against the preliminary labor agreement. Most workers at General Motors' factory in Flint, Michigan and an engine factory in a suburban Detroit also oppose the agreement.
According to UAW data, only 52% of the nearly 16000 General Motors workers who have voted so far have approved the agreement. General Motors has nearly 46000 union workers, but not everyone is voting. The voting deadline for Michigan is Thursday afternoon local time.
