Recently, it was reported that Starbucks Zhenxuan Xintiandi Store in Shanghai, which has been operating in Shanghai for 24 years, will end its lease.
On December 16, the relevant person in charge of Starbucks China responded to the surging news reporter and said, "The adjustment and change of the business type of the business district and the renovation and upgrading of the stores are the normal state of the retail industry. Recently, due to the adjustment of the business type of the Xintiandi business district, Starbucks Zhenxuan Xintiandi stores will end the lease on December 31. At the same time, more than 10 existing Starbucks stores in the Xintiandi business district will continue to provide customers with high-quality coffee."
According to the information released by Starbucks' account on several social platforms recently, Starbucks Zhenxuan Xintiandi Store in Shanghai is located in Shikumen, Shanghai, and is known as the "city famous" meeting point. As the seventh Starbucks store in Shanghai, it has accompanied the city for 24 years.
According to the reporter's inspection, "Xintiandi, Shanghai" announced on social media that with the continuous upgrading of Xintiandi's global business, the entrance of Xintiandi Shikumen Street (the intersection of Taicang Road and Madang Road) will usher in brand renewal, and Boucheron, a French luxury jewelry family, is about to settle down, and plans to officially debut in 2025.
The aforementioned Starbucks China representative also told The Paper that in the future, Starbucks will also lay out more new stores in the area. With the further expansion of Starbucks in China, this year, Shanghai has added 46 new stores, distributed in major communities, transportation hubs, hospitals, schools, scenic spots and other areas, bringing a more convenient Starbucks experience to customers with different needs. In addition, Starbucks will also renovate some different types of stores according to customer needs. In 2024 alone, 33 stores in Shanghai, including Raffles City on the Bund and Dragon's Dream in Zhongshan Park, have been upgraded to serve new and old customers with a brand new look.
