The report also showed that the Japanese enterprise price index fell 0.3% in September from the previous month, with gasoline, diesel and other petroleum products, as well as commercial electricity and pipeline gas prices falling sharply. In addition, prices of chemicals, aquatic and agricultural and forestry products increased month-on-month. The enterprise price index reflects the price level of commodities traded between enterprises, and is one of the important indicators to measure the inflation level in Japan.
