On December 5th, the legal department of Jike released a statement regarding the situation where a vehicle caught fire due to a traffic accident in Baoshan, Yunnan: On the evening of November 26th, a Jike 009 on the G5615 highway in Baoshan City, Yunnan Province caught fire due to a traffic accident. After the accident, the highway traffic police and fire department rushed to the scene for rescue, and the accident did not cause any casualties. On November 28th, the Traffic Police Detachment of Baoshan Public Security Bureau in Yunnan Province issued an accident identification letter, stating that the accident was caused by the falling parts of the front truck, which led to the rear vehicle (Jike 009) being crushed and causing a fire. The main responsibility of the front vehicle (truck) was clarified. Based on the retrieval of vehicle backend data and on-site investigation, the preliminary conclusion is that the vehicle caught fire due to severe impact on the power battery, resulting in deformation and compression of the battery cells.
