On November 20th, Wenyuan Zhixing WeRide announced that its self driving sanitation vehicle S6 (hereinafter referred to as "Wenyuan Sanitation Vehicle S6") and unmanned road sweeper S1 have been officially put into operation on Marina Coastal Drive and Esplanade in Singapore, respectively. This is Singapore's first commercially operated autonomous driving sanitation project.
It is worth mentioning that Wenyuan Zhixing's two autonomous driving environmental sanitation products have achieved commercial landing, just one week after the company officially announced that it has obtained M1 and T1 licenses issued by the Singapore Land Transport Authority.
In June of this year, Wenyuan Zhixing reached a cooperation agreement with Chye Thiam Maintenance (CTM), one of the largest and highest ranked environmental service companies in Singapore, to jointly promote the commercialization of autonomous driving environmental sanitation technology. In less than half a year, both parties have completed the entire process from license application, road testing to commercial deployment. Nowadays, the Wenyuan sanitation truck S6 and the unmanned road sweeper S1 have been deployed in the two landmark areas of Binhai Bay Coastal Avenue and Binhai Art Center, respectively, becoming important components of local intelligent sanitation.
