Alibaba agrees to pay 3 billion yuan to settle class action lawsuit, denies any misconduct. On October 25th, Alibaba Group announced that a settlement agreement has been reached for the previously disclosed presumed shareholder class action lawsuit. The announcement shows that Alibaba has agreed to pay $433.5 million (approximately 3.087 billion yuan) to settle a class action lawsuit filed by investors in the United States. In this lawsuit, investors accused Alibaba of monopolistic behavior. This settlement covers investors who held Alibaba's American Depositary Shares from November 13, 2019 to December 23, 2020, and resolves their claims.
