Comcast's European pay TV company Sky has sued Warner Bros. Exploration, accusing the entertainment giant of violating an agreement that granted Sky long-term exclusive broadcasting rights for programs including the new Harry Potter series.
According to Sky's lawsuit, the agreement reached between the two parties in 2019 required Warner Bros. to explore joint production opportunities for at least four original series per year, with Sky having the right to exclusively distribute these series on its service platform for 20 years. The agreement will expire in 2025.
