On November 27th, sources familiar with the matter revealed that as financing costs rise and cast a shadow over the market, UBS Group has cut four bankers in its Asian loan syndicate division. It is reported that these people joined UBS during its acquisition of Credit Suisse in 2023 and left on the 25th local time.
According to informed sources, those who have been laid off include two Singaporean bankers - Terence Chia, head of the loan syndicate team, and Irene Liao, executive director of the team. (Bloomberg)
