On September 26th, Intel announced the release of the Xeon 6 Performance Core Processor. Compared to the Xeon 5 scalable processor, the Xeon 6 processor has up to twice the number of cores per channel, with an average single core performance improvement of up to 1.2 times and an average performance improvement of up to 1.6 times per watt. It can be used to support data centers, cloud computing, and numerous AI accelerated computing scenarios.
