On September 12th, sources familiar with the matter revealed that General Mills is in deep negotiations to sell its North American yogurt business for over $2 billion. Insiders say that the New York listed company has been discussing selling its US and Canadian businesses, including the Yoplait brand, to French dairy companies Groupe Lactalis and Sodiaal, respectively.
