On September 15th, NIO announced an adjustment plan for its battery swapping service fee charging model, shifting from a "fixed price" model to a "charge per kilowatt hour" model. The single battery swapping fee is calculated by multiplying the electricity bill per kilowatt hour plus the service fee per kilowatt hour by the amount of electricity exchanged. When the amount of electricity exchanged does not reach the set minimum exchange amount (20 kWh), the corresponding service fee will be charged based on the minimum exchange amount, and the electricity fee will be calculated based on the actual exchange amount. The above adjustments will take effect from 00:00 on September 24, 2024. According to the new plan, unlimited battery swapping users will not be affected and can still use the free battery swapping benefits to settle orders. In addition, Ledao Motors will continue to use this charging model for subsequent battery replacements.
