On September 5th, Taobao announced that it will gradually open WeChat Pay to all Taobao and Tmall merchants after September 12th. As of the time of press, some merchants have stated that they have received invitations to activate.
According to the announcement released by Taobao and Tmall on September 4th, in order to enhance consumer shopping experience, Taobao plans to add WeChat payment capability and adjust platform rules after the collection of opinions is completed. This also means that the long-awaited full integration of Taobao with WeChat Pay is about to officially land.
