A Tesla shareholder filed a lawsuit on May 30th, accusing CEO Elon Musk of insider trading in selling Tesla's over $7.5 billion worth of stocks at the end of 2022, claiming that Musk had sold stocks before potentially disappointing production and delivery data was released. Tesla shareholder Michael Perry claimed in a lawsuit filed in a Delaware court that Tesla's stock price plummeted after the company released fourth quarter data on January 2, 2023, and claimed that Musk "improperly benefited" from approximately $3 billion in insider profits.
