On May 30th, Jingke Energy announced that its research and development of perovskite stacked batteries based on N-type TOPCon has made another breakthrough. After testing by the Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, its conversion efficiency reached 33.24%, breaking the previous record of 32.33% for similar stacked batteries.
It is understood that the record breaking perovskite stacked battery this time used the N-type high-efficiency single crystal passivation contact TOPCon battery independently developed by Jingke as the bottom battery. Through multiple material technology innovations such as ultra-thin poly passivation contact technology, new velvet surface trapping technology, high transmittance, high carrier mobility intermediate composite layer material technology, and perovskite interface mixed material passivation improvement technology, the conversion efficiency of perovskite/TOPCon stacked batteries has once again been achieved.
The company claims that this breakthrough achievement once again proves the excellent performance of TOPCon as the mainstream solar cell technology, and demonstrates its perfect integration ability with the next generation perovskite stacked cell technology.
It is reported that as a leading enterprise in the photovoltaic industry, Jingke Energy has established a research and development team of over 2300 people, with a cumulative investment of billions of yuan in research and development funds. As of now, Jingke has applied for more than 3800 global patents and obtained over 3500 patents.
