On May 30th, Jingke Energy announced a significant breakthrough in the research and development of perovskite stacked batteries based on N-type TOPCon. After testing by the Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, its conversion efficiency reached 33.24%, significantly improving the highest conversion efficiency of similar stacked batteries previously held by Jingke Energy by 32.33%, achieving a total of 26 breakthroughs in photovoltaic product efficiency and power world records.
The company stated that the record breaking perovskite stacked battery used its independently developed N-type high-efficiency single crystal passivation contact TOPCon battery as the bottom battery. Through multiple material technology innovations such as ultra-thin poly passivation contact technology, new textured trapping technology, high transmittance, high carrier mobility intermediate composite layer material technology, and perovskite interface mixed material passivation improvement technology, the conversion efficiency of perovskite/TOPCon stacked batteries has once again been achieved.
