On October 26th, General Motors and Stellantis held intensive negotiations with the United Auto Workers (UAW) to end a six week strike one day after Ford Motor Company reached a temporary contract agreement.
The day before, Ford became the first Detroit automaker among the Big Three to negotiate a resolution to this strike, and Ford's temporary contract could set a template for General Motors and Stellantis. Since mid September this year, 45000 car workers have participated in the strike.
