On April 29th, the European Commission designated Apple as the "gatekeeper" for iPadOS (its tablet operating system) under the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Apple has a 6-month buffer to comply with DMA. Previously, Apple's iOS operating system, App Store, and Safari browser had entered the restricted list.
