On the evening of April 28th, Jingke Energy released a notice regarding a fire accident in its wholly-owned subsidiary, stating that around 3:00 pm on April 26th, a fire broke out on the roof of the first phase slicing battery workshop of Shanxi Jingke Energy No.2 Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, causing a fire accident. After the accident, the company immediately activated the emergency plan, quickly took measures to evacuate personnel, and fully cooperated with the local fire department to implement on-site firefighting and rescue. With the firefighting efforts of local fire emergency departments, the relevant fire situation has been controlled and extinguished. At present, the specific cause of the fire accident is being investigated and verified.
According to the announcement, the accident did not cause any casualties, and the factory buildings, equipment, and inventory at the accident site were damaged to a certain extent. The specific loss situation is being verified and evaluated, and it is preliminarily expected to have a certain impact on the annual performance of 2024. The damaged assets of the company have been insured with property insurance and have been reported to the insurance company. The relevant insurance loss assessment and claims work is being carried out in an orderly manner.
The company expects that the first phase of the Shanxi base will be affected to some extent due to the accident and the subsequent ramp up progress. The company is making legitimate arrangements, adjusting production processes and order allocation, and making every effort to minimize or eliminate the impact on customer order delivery.
The company also stated that the production and operation of other subsidiary companies are normal. The company will fully cooperate with relevant departments to investigate the accident, carefully identify the cause of the accident, and urge its subsidiaries and production bases to strengthen their own and supplier safety management to prevent similar accidents from happening again.
According to previous reports, the planned four phases of the Jingke Energy Shanxi Integrated Base project total 56GW, with the first phase having a production capacity of 14GW each for crystal pulling, slicing, batteries, and components. (Huangpu River)
