AstraZeneca announces innovative cooperation with China Resources Gas and Everbright Environment to help its production and supply bases in China achieve decarbonization

On March 29th, AstraZeneca's official WeChat account reported that on March 27th, biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca signed its first ten-year renewable energy contract with China Resources Gas. AstraZeneca's green heating at its production and supply base in Wuxi, Jiangsu will help AstraZeneca China achieve greenhouse gas emissions reduction of up to 80% in Scope 1 and Scope 2 in China, and help the entire healthcare system achieve decarbonization. China Resources Gas will cooperate with Everbright Environment to provide biomethane and biomethane based steam to AstraZeneca's Wuxi production and supply base, in order to achieve decarbonization in drug production and supply processes.
