Market research firm Factory Funds recently released a report stating that deploying the text to video model Sora for OpenAI requires 720000 Nvidia H100 AI accelerators during its peak period. If calculated at a cost of $30000 per Nvidia H100 AI accelerator card, 720000 pieces would cost $21.6 billion. And this is just the cost of the H100 accelerator card.
