On February 26th, Qualcomm announced the launch of its seventh generation 5G modem to antenna solution - Snapdragon X80 5G modem and RF system. It is reported that the Snapdragon X80 5G modem and RF system architecture can provide readiness for 5G Advanced across multiple product segments, including smartphones, mobile broadband, PCs, XR, automobiles, industrial Internet of Things, private networks, and fixed wireless access. The Snapdragon X80 is currently undergoing testing, and commercial terminals equipped with the platform are expected to be released in the second half of 2024.
