Meta will establish a team to combat the misuse of false information and artificial intelligence in EU elections. Due to concerns about the interference of false information and artificial intelligence abuse in elections, Meta will form a team before the June European Parliament elections to address the issue of false information and the misuse of artificial intelligence. The European Parliament elections will be held from June 6th to 9th. 720 members of the European Parliament and EU governments will work together to pass new EU policies and laws. Marco Pancini, Director of European Affairs at Meta, stated that as the elections approach, Meta will activate its Election Operations Center to identify potential threats and take real-time measures.
