Japan will provide up to 732 billion yen in subsidies to TSMC Kumamoto II factory. Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry, Ken Saito, announced on the 24th that Japan will provide up to 732 billion yen in subsidies to TSMC Kumamoto II factory. Earlier that day, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida gave a video speech at the opening ceremony of TSMC Kumamoto First Factory, stating that the Japanese government will continue to implement support measures such as large-scale semiconductor production. The Japanese government has also decided to support TSMC's second Kumamoto factory. Previously, the Japanese government had announced a policy of providing up to 476 billion yen in subsidies for the construction of TSMC's first Kumamoto factory.
