On February 23rd, according to a study by TrendForce Consulting, the global wafer foundry revenue in 2023 was approximately $117.47 billion, with TSMC's revenue accounting for approximately 60%. In 2024, it is estimated to be approximately $131.65 billion, accounting for an additional 62%. In addition to having the highest proportion of revenue, TSMC currently selects the United States, Japan, and Germany as the bases for advanced and mature factories, with Japan having the fastest progress and even earlier completion schedules. Tomorrow (24th), TSMC Kumamoto Corporation (JASM) is about to officially open, and it is also TSMC's first factory in Japan (Fab23). TrendForce Consulting stated that the total production capacity in the future will reach 40-50Kwpm, and its process will mainly be 22/28nm, with a small amount of 12/16nm to prepare for the main process of Kumamoto II in the future.
