On January 16th, NetEase Youdao announced that its self-developed knowledge base Q&A engine, QAnything, was officially open source. In addition to being able to call cloud based large model services, it also supports pure local deployment. The system supports multiple document formats such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, and images. The main principle of QAnything is based on Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), which can enhance the accuracy, professional ability, and personalization of large language models by retrieving external content.
