According to CCTV news, on January 6th local time, Alaska Airlines announced on its official social media account that the company has decided to temporarily suspend 65 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.
According to US media reports, on the afternoon of the 5th local time, an Alaska Airlines flight made an emergency landing shortly after takeoff from Portland, Oregon, with a window and part of the fuselage missing.
This Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft took off at 16:52 local time on the 5th and returned 20 minutes later. A photo taken by a passenger released by local media shows that a large part of the aircraft's fuselage and a window are missing.
The National Transportation Safety Commission of the United States is investigating this incident. According to Reuters, Boeing stated in a statement that it is investigating the incident.
