Disney appoints Morgan Stanley CEO Gorman and former Sky Group CEO Dardock as board members

On November 29th local time, Walt Disney announced the appointment of James Goleman, CEO of Morgan Stanley, and Jeremy Dalrock, former CEO of Sky Group, as members of the board of directors. Dardock's appointment will take effect on January 9th, while Gorman's appointment will take effect on February 5th.
Wall Street activist investor Nelson Peltz and his Trian fund management company are planning nominations for Disney's board of directors next year. Trian has accumulated $2.66 billion worth of Disney shares and has also received support from former Marvel Entertainment Chairman Ike Perlmutter.
Earlier this month, Value Act Capital Management became the second aggressive investor to increase their stake in Disney.
