Swire Group A (00019) has announced the completion of the sale of a minority stake in its Coca Cola bottling business in Cambodia, and the transaction has been completed for delivery on December 31, 2024. This transaction makes the Cambodian subsidiary a non wholly owned subsidiary of the company. In addition, the delivery of the equity transfer agreement in Vietnam is still subject to several conditions, including obtaining applicable regulatory approvals, and therefore has not been completed, leading to uncertainty.
The announcement reminds shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when buying and selling company shares, as the delivery of the Vietnamese share transfer agreement does not guarantee its occurrence. The business adjustments involved in this transaction reflect the company's strategic layout in the Southeast Asian market and continue to expand its influence in the Coca Cola business.
