当天，一架客机在位于韩国全罗南道的务安机场着陆时，偏离跑道后撞上机场围墙。发生事故的客机是由泰国曼谷出发的济州航空7C2216号航班，载有175名乘客和6名乘务人员。经确认，发生事故的航班的机型是美国波音公司的737-800，于2009年8月出厂，飞机机龄15年。（央视新闻）
