On November 8th local time, Vicki Hollub, CEO of Western Petroleum Company, stated in an online live broadcast that the company hopes to sell carbon capture and storage technology licenses, which may support over 1000 projects to slow down global warming and create new sources of revenue for the company. The first large direct air capture (DAC) plant of Western oil companies costs $1.3 billion and will begin construction by mid-2025.
