The report by S&P Global states that it is unlikely that Trump will fully implement the tariff plan, and the amount of tariffs is likely to reach the aforementioned level. But the report added that if Trump really implements this plan and imposes a 10% tariff on all core goods imported into the United States, it could push the Consumer Price Index (CPI) up by as much as 1.8 percentage points, which could lead to inflation resurfacing in Trump's first year in office.
