On October 10th local time, Matt Brittin, the head of Google's Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, announced in a LinkedIn post that he will be resigning.
Briting stated that he will continue to be responsible for Google's business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa until the company determines a successor.
Briting joined Google in 2007 as the head of the UK and Ireland business, and was later promoted to Vice President responsible for Nordic and Central European operations. In 2014, he became the President of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.
